About the role\n\nTitle – Area support officer\n\nPay Rate – £12.71\n\nLocation – Cambridge\n\nShift Timings – Day shifts – candidates must be flexible and available to work Monday to Friday\n\nMust have a drivers license and vehicle as you must be willing to drive 90 mins from home to site\n\nYou will be working in a site-based role within the public sector, where officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of both staff and visitors.\n\nYour main responsibilities may include:\n\nTrained to provide relief cover and support to a portfolio of locations within a geographical region.\n\nAll the tasks and activities as per the site operational guidance and Assignment Instructions. Provide quality service delivery.\n\nManage and maintain a safe environment for the client’s staff and customers.\n\nProvide a proactive presence in all public facing areas as activity requires. This will include providing a positive initial reception for clients and directional guidance.\n\nWorking directly with the customer as part of a team to provide conflict resolution at our client’s premises where there is potential for conflict.\n\nWorking closely with your fellow colleagues to ensure members of the public comply with site rules and guidance.\n\nUse common sense and initiative immediately involving others if a situation becomes threatening.\n\nTo have a smart appearance, always be alert and visible whilst commanding a security presence within the customer premises\n\nBe able to administer First Aid assistance if a member of public or client’s staff was to be suddenly taken unwell (training will be provided)\n\nComplete legible incident report writing if and when an incident arises.\n\nWork to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone.\n\nTo succeed in this role, you will need the following:\n\nSIA License.\n\n5-year checkable work/career history.\n\nFull driving licence and access to own transport is essential.\n\nPrior experience of working in a customer-facing environment and dealing directly with staff/customers.\n\nPhysically fit to undertake given tasks.\n\nPossess the ability to work under pressure.\n\nFlexible attitude and the ability to adapt.\n\nSecurity and operational system competence\n\nWhat will you get in return?\n\nPlease note that all our roles require transfer to our client on a permanent basis after 12 weeks, with the following amazing benefits being offered upon transfer.\n\nCompany-funded SIA License renewal.\n\nCycle to work scheme.\n\nSmart tech – allowing employees to buy the latest tech, deducted from their salaries monthly at no additional interest.\n\nSalary finance loans and monthly advances.\n\nVouchers across various retailers such as Sainsbury’s, Argos, and ASDA, as well as holidays, leisure, fashion, pets, and many more
