Locum Consultant Psychiatrist (Old Age) 6PA (flexible)

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a 6‑PA Locum Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist to join a fully supported inpatient team at Kingfisher, based at Kings Mill Hospital. The post holder will provide senior medical input to the team, participate in local leadership meetings, and collaborate with operational leads on service development and quality improvement.

• Provide medical leadership for the multi‑disciplinary team on Kingfisher
\n
• Conduct medical/psychiatric assessments to inform care planning and risk assessment
\n
• Complete administrative tasks related to clinical responsibilities
\n
• Maintain good clinical records using the Trust's electronic record system
\n
• Maintain a revalidation portfolio and participate in annual appraisal
\n
• Undertake a job plan review with the Clinical Directors annually
\n
• Maintain professional registration with the GMC
\n
• Attend team and governance meetings
\n
• Comply with the Trust's agreed policies and procedures
\n
• Participate in the OPCU out of hours on‑call rota
\n
• Provide clinical supervision of junior medical staff
\n

• Experienced Old Age Psychiatrist or an individual able to gain AC status within 6‑12 months of appointment, allowing the position to be a trust locum with AC oversight and support from a fellow Consultant psychiatrist.
