Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor - Offshore Wind\n\nLocation: Hull or Hartlepool (Hybrid Site-Based)\n Contract: Long-Term Freelance Assignment\n Sector: Offshore Wind / Renewables\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major offshore wind project, focusing on the Wind Turbine Package. This is a long-term contract opportunity for a commercially driven professional with strong claims, quantum, and cost management expertise.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManage and support upstream and downstream claims.\nDevelop and substantiate Extension of Time (EOT) and compensation event submissions.\nPrepare detailed quantum assessments and cost analysis.\nTrack project events, commercial risks, and associated cost impacts.\nMaintain accurate cost records, forecasts, and commercial reporting.\nWork closely with project, construction, and commercial teams to support contractual and commercial objectives.\nEnsure robust project records are maintained to support entitlement and claims positions.Requirements:\n\nProven Senior QS experience on major infrastructure, energy, renewables, or construction projects.\nStrong background in claims management, EOTs, and quantum analysis.\nExcellent commercial reporting and cost management skills.\nAbility to build and present robust commercial cases backed by detailed evidence.\nExperience within offshore wind, EPC/EPCI, marine, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.\nStrong understanding of standard forms of contract, ideally including FIDIC.This is an excellent opportunity to join a flagship renewable energy project and play a key role in the commercial management of a major offshore wind package.\n\nersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
